SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo volleyball team lost 3-0 versus Florida Southern in a Sunshine State Conference (SSC) matchup at home on Wednesday night in the Marion Bowman Center.
During the first set, the Lions' offense registered a .212 hitting percentage with a total of 12 kills. The Mocs jumped out to an 8-1 lead, however, Saint Leo fought back later in the frame to claim a 20-19 edge that was highlighted by a 5-0 run. Kills from junior

Madison Moore gave the Lions a set-point opportunity before the Mocs registered the following three points for the 26-24 win.
In the second set, the Green and Gold were deadlocked with Florida Southern at 15-15 until the Mocs captured a 20-15 margin. Florida Southern scored five of the next eight points to win the set, 25-18. The Lions hit at a .207 clip with nine kills in 29 swings.
While holding a 15-11 lead in the third frame, the Mocs extended the lead to 18-11 before riding their momentum to a 25-19 victory.

Oliwia Durka led the Lions with 10 kills while Rodriguez registered nine with a .259 hitting percentage. Junior
Tajma Muharemovic dished out 12 assists with a trio of service aces and six digs. Freshman
Chloe Ates posted seven digs and junior
Brielle Kallberg controlled the net with five total blocks.
Saint Leo returns to the court on Friday, November 15 as it hosts Florida Tech on Senior Day in an SSC bout, starting at 7 p.m.
