SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University volleyball team fought off the Florida Tech Panthers with a 3-1 win over their SSC rivals.

It was Graduate Student
Reagan Hopp leading the way with 20 kills which was a team-high.

Florida Tech shocked the Lions early coming from behind in the first set to take it 27-25 in a close battle.

The Lions then fought back in a big way from the hard work of Senior
Madi Certain who totaled the second most kills for the Lions with 16.

Saint Leo took the second set 25-21.
Â
Oliwia Durka shined in a big way with four total blocks to help the Lions on the defensive side of things.

The Green & Gold closed the game out winning two more sets in a row to close out the Panthers 3-1.

The Lions are next in action on September 26th as they travel to the University of Tampa for an SSC matchup.
