SAINT LEO, FL - Chad Berryhill has officially been named SSC Coach of the Year for the 2023 season.

Coach Berryhill has earned this achievement now for the second time in his career. He led the Saint Leo Men's Lacrosse Team to a 20-1 overall record and a 7-0 record in SSC play during the regular season.

Under his leadership, the Lions won the ITA National Indoor Championship, the SSC Regular Season, earned a NCAA Division II regional tournament hosting bid, finished runner-up in the conference postseason tournament, and currently hold the #1 ITA ranking for seven weeks in a row.

Under Berryhill's command, the team has earned honors for several players including Ivan Marrero winning Athlete of the Year.

"I am incredibly happy Coach Berryhill to be receiving this honor as coach of the year," said Assistant Coach Matt Alexander. "After working together for the past two years, his sincerity and dedication towards providing the best college tennis experience for his teams is off the charts. The impact he's had on the programs here is undeniably applaudable and I am excited to see what else is in store for both him and his teams to follow in the future."
