BRADENTON, Fla. – The #3 ranked Saint Leo women's tennis team competed in the third place match against #4 Lynn University, Saturday afternoon. Saint Leo was able to shut out the Knights to finish in third place during the Sunshine State Conference Championships.
 
In doubles action the #3 pairing of Lavania Lancellotti and Marta Vicens Miquel took down Salma Djoubri and Greta Schieroni, 6-2. Jade Bellegy and Claudia Borbon Roca defeated the pairing of Barbora Cibakova and Giorgia Pigato, 6-2.
 
In singles, #31 Luzia Obermeier defeated Giorgia Pigato in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-2. Lavinia Lancellotti followed suit picking up a win of her own against Zofia Podbiol, 6-4 and 6-4. Kamilya Shailina closed out singles with a win against Dolores Molina, 6-2 and 6-3.
