FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The #3 ranked Saint Leo women's tennis team sweeps Auburn Montgomery in South Regional Opener setting up a finale matchup versus Nova Southeastern.
To kick things off for the Lions, it was important to secure the doubles point as now every game is going to be versus the best of the best.
Knowing that, Coach Berryhill's squad was able to do just that as the pairing of
Kamilya Shailina and
Luzia Obermeier secured a 6-3 victory over Sofia Neri and Ane Ibarra.
Next up was
Jade Bellegy and
Claudia Borbon Roca who finished on top as well 6-2 versus Isabella Pinto and Nahia Izco.
Now with the doubles point secured, Saint Leo headed into singles action with the advantage of knowing they only needed to secure three more points overall.

Marta Vicens Miquel started the Lions off in dominant fashion with a 6-1, 6-0 win over #68 Estefina Garcia.

Claudia Borbon Roca was next as she secured a 6-3, 6-3 win over #61 Regina Urbiola Armenta.
Lavinia Lancellotti was the one to clinch the sweep for the Lions when she completed her 6-0, 6-4 victory over Nahia Izco.
The Lions now move on and face the Nova Southeastern Sharks at 11:00am on May 2nd.
