Women's Basketball Tips Off Against One Seeded Tampa

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The number eight seed Saint Leo women's basketball team will head to Tampa, Florida to face one seed University of Tampa, Tuesday evening.

Players to Watch
The SSC's leading scorer Amanda Ulrich leads the way for the Lions. She is averaging 18.7 points per game. She is seventh in the league in field goal percentage (48.1%) and she is tied for the third-most three-pointers in the conference with 60.

Kiki McIntyre leads the conference in steals per game (2.6).

Alex Button is second on the team in points per game (12.7), and she leads the team in blocks (20).

Players Ranked in the SSC

Amanda Ulrich – Ulrich is the leading scorer in the SSC (18.7 PPG), fourth in minutes played (918), and fourth in three-point shots per game (2.2).

Alex Button – Button currently sits sixth in three-point percentage (.388), seventh in field goal percentage (.472), eighth in blocked shots (20) and 12th in points per game (12.7 PPG).
 
Kiki McIntyre – McIntyre remains first in steals (72), and 11th in total assists (81).


Scouting University of Tampa
Tampa heads into the Sunshine State Conference Tournament as the number one seed. The Spartans are led by 21st year Head Coach Tom Jessee. Jessee has brought the Spartans to the NCAA Tournament 11 times in the past 16 years. He became the first coach to lead the Spartans to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments. On the court, they are led by Freshman Sydney Kin who in her first collegiate year is averaging 18.5 PPG.
