SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Men's basketball team is back at the Marion Bowman Activities Center for the rest of the regular season to try and lock their rank for SSC post season play.
Â
The Lions (20-9, 11-7 SSC) are coming off of another SSC versus Lynn University. Entering Wednesday's matchup the Lions are looking at locking in a position to host a game at the their home court. Given how supportive the fans have been this season, achieving that spot would be a huge advantage for the Lions against any SSC opponent.
Â
The leading scorer for Saint Leo this season is Fifth Year
Marty Jackson who is scoring 17.8 points per game while Redshirt Junior
Kanon Koster is close behind with 17.3 points per game.
The Florida Mocs (18-7, 12-6 SSC) are coming in as one of the top SSC teams with Redshirt Sophomore Jadin Booth averaging 21.7 points per game as their leading scorer. He also boasts a 43.1% shot from behind the arc which is key against a team like the Lions who can also hit for volume from three-point range.
Â
The game is scheduled for February 22nd at the Marion Bowman Activities Center. Tip-off is at 7:30pm.
