SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Men's basketball team is off to Boca Raton, Fla. for its final road game of the regular season, taking on Lynn University in Sunshine State Conference play.
The Lions (19-9, 10-7 SSC) are coming off a memorable win over Rollins that saw guard
Kanon Koster not only hit 1,000 points, but also set a new career high with 35 points. Fifth-year forward
Marty Jackson was as equally impressive, dropping 29 points from 61% from the field Wednesday night.
Entering Saturday, the Green & Gold boast the nation's third best field percentage (.520) and 20th-best scoring offense (83.9 points).
While Lynn (4-19, 2-16 SSC) rids an eight-game skid, the Fighting Knights have had one constant that continues to be a threat on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Nordin Kapic enters Saturday's contest averaging 19.5 points with 10.3 boards. The reigning Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week has shot nearly 55% from the floor.
