Box Score 2 SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University softball team had another successful outing Friday, as the Lions won both games at the Old Coast Classic hosted by Flagler College. The Green & Gold shut out Emory & Henry College 6-0 before defeating West Alabama 5-2 at Flagler Field.
SLU 6, EHC 0
The Lions (7-1) recorded nine hits in the game while Emory & Henry (0-2) registered just three hits. Juniors
Madyson Coe and
Alyssa Perez led the way for the Lions, respectively hitting 2-of-3 and 2-of-2 from the plate.
Freshman
Haleigh Thomas (3-0) got the start, pitching five and two-third innings in the circle and allowed three hits with 10 strikeouts. As a batter, Thomas' lone hit of the contest produced two RBIs.
Thomas wasn't the only Freshman bringing in runs, as outfielder
Bianca Polistina brought home three RBIs.
