SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's basketball team defends the Marion Bowman Activities Center against tough competition as Nova Southeastern is coming for a SSC duel on February 11th.

The Lions head into this matchup coming off a tough game versus Tampa that saw Saint Leo keep fighting throughout but Tampa proved to be too much in the end. They currently have an 11-12 record overall including a 4-11 record in the SSC.

Senior
Amanda Ulrich has been special this season and is inching closer and closer to the all-time scoring record for Saint Leo Women's basketball. She is just 17 points shy of tying the record of 1,550 points that was set by Tonya Nix in the 1990 season.

Amanda Ulrich – Ulrich is the leading scorer in the SSC (18.6 PPG), fifth in minutes played (741), fifth in three-point shots per game (2.1) and 11th in Free Throw percentage (82.6%).
Alex Button – Button currently sits seventh in three-point percentage (39.8%) seventh in field goal percentage (47.3%), seventh in blocked shots (12) and 12th in points per game (12.9 PPG).

Kiki McIntyre – McIntyre remains first in steals (64), 11th in total assists (72), and 22nd in points per game (10.6).

Scouting Nova Southeastern Sharks
The Sharks are led by Head Coach LeAnn Freeland-Curry. Freeland-Curry came into this season with a 201-112 record at NSU and a 291-137 overall record as a head coach in college basketball. The Lions will be back on the road at Winter Park, Florida as they go up against Rollins college and look to avenge a previous loss from earlier in the season. The game is scheduled for 5:30pm on February 15th.
