Women's Basketball Defends The Bowman Against the Incoming Eagles

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's basketball come back home to the Marion Bowman Activities Center to face off in Sunshine State Conference matchup versus Embry-Riddle University.

GAME 22
The Lions head into their matchup versus the Eagles on a two-game win streak. They currently have an 11-10 record overall including a 4-9 record in the SSC.

Player to Watch
Freshman Taydra Simpson is coming off of a massive performance where she scored 12 of her 13 points versus Palm Beach Atlantic in the second half to help secure the Lions victory in OT. Her hot streak could continue into the next game and cause major problems for the Eagles.

Players Ranked in the SSC
Amanda Ulrich – Ulrich is the leading scorer in the SSC (18.9 PPG), fourth in minutes played (673), fifth in three-point shots per game (2.1) and  (sixth in Free Throw percentage (86.4%).

Alex Button – Button currently sits 10th in field goal percentage (47.6%), eighth in three-point percentage (39%), ninth in blocked shots (11) and 11th in points per game (13.3 PPG).
 
Kiki McIntyre – McIntyre remains first in steals (62), 10th in total assists (69), and 23rd in points per game (10.6)
 
Jumoke Adaramoye – Adaramoye is currently ranking 12th in steals (33) and 12th in rebounds per game (5.1),

Scouting Embry-Riddle Eagles
The Eagles are led 8th year Head Coach Lisa Wilson. Coach Wilson is the first coach in the program's history and has been everything a basketball program looks for in a coach. The Eagles on the court are led by the trio of Sophomore Guard Madyson Jean, Junior Guard Rachel Murray, and Junior Guard Keturah Balabyekkubo. The trio of guards each average double-digits in the scoring column.

The Lions will travel to Tampa to face off against the #2 ranked SSC Spartans at the Bob Martinez Athletics Center on February 8th at 5:30pm.
