Women's Basketball Dominates Trinity (FL) with a Convincing Win

SAINT LEO, Fla. - Saint Leo Lions secured a resounding victory over Trinity (FL) at the Marion Bowman Center in Saint Leo, FL, with a final score of 91-38. The Lions dominated from the start and never trailed in this game.
 
From the opening tip-off, the Lions took control of the game and never looked back. The performance by the entire team showcased their depth and versatility on both ends of the court.
 
The Lions set the tone early in the first quarter, shooting an impressive 40% from the field. Jumoke Adaramoye's (15 points, 6 rebounds) dominance inside the paint and Olivia Agunzo's sharpshooting (17 points) and (5-8) from beyond the arc contributed to a 22-3 lead at the end of the quarter.
 
The second quarter saw continued excellence from the Lions, with a 47% field goal percentage. Chynna Mattair (13 points) and Anastasiya Astapenka's (11 rebounds, 4 steals) contributions bolstered the lead to 48 points by halftime.
 
Saint Leo's third-quarter performance showcased their balanced offensive and defensive capabilities, shooting an impressive 62% from the field. The Lions entered the final quarter with a commanding 79-33 lead.
 
The Lions were able to stay consistent in the fourth quarter and held their ground, ultimately securing the win with a 53-point margin. The final score of 91-38 highlighted the team's dominance and resiliency throughout the game.
 
Saint Leo's offensive efficiency was on full display, shooting 42% from the field. The Lions also dominated the boards, out rebounding Trinity (FL) 64 to 33.


 
The Lions' victory improves their overall record to 6-2, with a 2-1 record in the Sunshine State conference. The Lions get back on the court Monday December 11th as they host University of Fort Lauderdale before they gear up and get ready for the Saint Leo Holiday Classic December 15th and 16th.
