Wisconsin Dells, WI - The Saint Leo Men's Basketball team traveled to Justagame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin, WI to host the 2023 Saint Leo Classic. The Leo Lions emerged victorious against Maryville (MO) with a final score of 73-69.
The first half of the game saw both teams trading buckets in a closely contested battle. Saint Leo held a slim lead at halftime, leading 37-30. The Lions displayed offensive consistency, shooting 40% from the field and held a 37-30 lead at halftime.

Greyson Pritzl, and
Kanon Koster played pivotal roles in the Lions' first-half performance, contributing significantly to the team's offensive production. The Lions capitalized on Maryville's turnovers, scoring 22 points off their mistakes.
The second half unfolded with intensified energy, as both teams fought tooth and nail for control. Saint Leo maintained their composure and continued to execute well on both ends of the court.
Grant Disken led the Lions in the second half, finishing the game with 19 points and showcasing his scoring efficiency.
Kanon Koster's solid performance, including a 10-12 free-throw shooting display, played a crucial role in securing the victory. The Lions' bench also made a substantial impact, contributing 32 points to the team's overall score.

Despite a strong effort from Maryville (MO), Saint Leo's defense held firm, tallying 5 steals throughout the game. The Lions' ability to convert points off turnovers and dominate in the paint proved to be key factors in their triumph.
