Saint Leo, Fla - As Women's Lacrosse season approaches, the IWLCA Division II Preseason Poll has released, and the Saint Leo Lions have found themselves written in at #25.

The IWLCA Polls will be unveiled on Mondays throughout the season beginning Monday, February 20th. It is voted on jointly by coaches throughout the country and members of the media.

Sunshine State Conference rivals that join Saint Leo in the top 25 are Florida Southern (#4), Tampa (#7), Rollins (#10), Lynn (#15), Embry-Riddle (#16), and Florida Tech is receiving ranked votes.

The Lions are coming off a 2022 season where they finished with an overall 7-11 record including a SSC record of 4-3. They had many positive moments throughout the season including wins over two ranked opponents.

Coach Caitlin Hansen and the team have a lot of promise this season and have a ton of competition to compete against in the SSC.

The Green & Gold start their season on the road in Wilson, North Carolina versus Barton College on February 9th, with the face-off scheduled for 2pm.
