SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Men's basketball team goes west as they matchup versus the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish in a Sunshine State Conference weekend matchup on Saturday, Jan. 28th.
Â
The Lions are on a two-game win streak coming off another win in their last game versus Florida Tech 92-72. Redshirt Junior
Kanon Koster led the team once again on the offensive side with 22 points on 6-12 shooting from the field including 3-5 from behind the Arc. Fifth Year forward
Marty Jackson got involved in the action as well shooting 7-10 including 1-1 from downtown. Jackson also tied with Koster for the team-high in rebounds with five. If Saint Leo can continue their recent streak of outstanding offensive performances, PBA will be having a long night.
In their last game versus Palm Beach Atlantic earlier in the season, the Green & Gold won by a score of 82-70. It was Jackson who led the team in points that night and if he continues his current momentum, he could possibly do it again.
Â
The Lion offense currently ranks 3rd in points per game (84.0) in the SSC.
To get the win versus PBA, the Lions will need their scorers to continue dominating like they have recently. Koster, Jackson, and Sophomore Guard
Grant Disken have kept an electric pace going for the Saint Leo offense and they are the keys to victory.
Â
Tip-off at the Rubin Arena is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
