"We played team defense and shared the ball," said Coach Anthony Crocitto. Ten folks scored while ten of my guys assisted the ball.

The Lions bounced back after the half with a strong performance shooting 7-13 from the field including 3-4 from behind the arc. Senior Amanda Ulrich led the attack with seven points in the quarter. The strong Saint Leo effort led to the Green & Gold taking a 46-40 lead heading into the fourth.

Ulrich's dominance continued into the fourth with a strong shooting performance of 4-4 from the field that helped the Lions pull away and secure the victory over their Sunshine State Conference rivals.

"Amanda was on a mission and could not be guarded in the second half," said Crocitto.

Freshman Alanis Diaz gave a boost in the front court finishing with 10 points and four rebounds.

Button finished the game with 12 points and Ulrich led the team in the end with 17 points and eight rebounds.

"We have had a lot of bad luck but now it is time to change all of that," said Crocitto.
