SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Men's basketball team travels to Melbourne, Fla. for a Sunshine State Conference midweek matchup versus the Florida Tech Panthers on Wednesday, Jan. 25th.
 
The Lions will be holding all the momentum coming off a massive win over Barry University by a score of 97-56. Redshirt Junior Kanon Koster led the team on the offensive side with 24 points on 9-15 shooting. Koster also contributed greatly on the other side of the court with three steals. Also contributing on the offensive side was Sophomore guard Grant Disken with his energetic pace leading him to 19 points while shooting 3-5 from behind the arc.
 
The Lions are entering this midweek matchup versus the Panthers on fire with a 92 points per game average in their last three outings.
 
In their earlier game versus the Panthers early in November, the Green & Gold lost by a score of 82-66. With how their offense has been playing, the Lions will need to continue that pace to get the revenge they seek versus Florida Tech.
 
The Lion offense currently ranks third in points per game (83.6) in the SSC. To best Florida Tech, Koster will look to continue his current form of scoring as his average has been 25.6 over the last three games which is above his season average of 16.6. Koster's ability to make big plays on both ends could provide a key spark the Lions need.


 
Tipoff at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
