Women's Basketball Gears Up to Visit Nova Southeastern

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's basketball team travel across the state to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to play Nova Southeastern University of the Sunshine State Conference.

Saint Leo women's basketball travels to Nova Southeastern for a Saturday Conference Battle. The Green & Gold head into the weekend at 9-7 overall, and 2-6 in the Sunshine State Conference.

Player to Watch
Ulrich heads into the midweek showdown currently leads the Sunshine State conference in scoring with 302 points on the year. The senior is averaging a team-high 18.9 points per game. She currently sits in eighth in free throw percentage at .850, and fourth in three pointers per game at 2.3.

Players Ranked in the SSC
Alex Button currently sits tenth in the Sunshine State Conference shooting .500 from the field. Button also holds tenth in three point percentage at .406, ninth in three pointer per game at 1.8, eighth in blocks with 16, and 11th in free throw percentage at .825.

Kiki McIntyre continues to hold her thrown at the top of the Sunshine State conference in steals with 48.

Jumoke Adaramoye claims eleventh in the conference for steals with 26.

Tamara Shash sits tenth in blocks with eight on the season.

Scouting Nova Southeastern
Nova Southeastern University is led by 11th year head coach LeAnn Freeland-Curry. During her 11-year reign, Curry has led the Sharks to four trips to the NCAA Elite 8. The Sharks currently sit in 2th place in the Sunshine State Conference at 6-1. Nova Southeastern is led by fifth year forward Madison Frederick who leads the Sharks offense with 17.8 points per game, and 7.5 rebounds per game.

The Lions will return home to the Marion Bowman Center for a Wednesday evening matchup against Rollins College, January 18th. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
