SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo Men's Soccer has released its 18-match slate for the 2022 season, which begins with a pair of regional road games at Auburn University at Montgomery on Aug. 25 and at the University of West Florida on Aug. 27.
Saint Leo will first host a pair of home exhibition matches at the Saint Leo Soccer Field on Aug. 16 against Southeastern University and then on Aug. 21 against Daytona State College. Six additional non-conference matches are scattered throughout the months of September and October.
Following exhibition play, fans are welcome to come out to show their pride and help kick off the 2022 season when Saint Men's Soccer will host its home opener on Sept. 1 against Trinity College (Fla.).
Saint Leo opens Sunshine State Conference play on Sept. 10 at home against Palm Beach Atlantic, with additional home conference dates against Eckerd (Sept. 14), Barry (Sept. 24), Tampa (Oct. 12), and Nova Southeastern (Oct. 15) The Lions will visit Rollins (Sept. 21), Lynn (Sept. 28), Florida Southern (Oct. 1), Embry Riddle (Oct. 8), and Florida Tech (Oct. 22) for the road portion of the 2022 Sunshine State schedule.
The Lions are returning 24 student-athletes overall with over 15 players who saw minutes during the 2021 season that went 3-11-3.
