SAINT LEO, Fla. – The NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Selection Show Tuesday night announced the Saint Leo Lions the Third Seed in the South Region Championship. The 2022 ticket marks the Green and Gold's seventh straight appearance in the NCAA Championship.
Third Seed Saint Leo (19-5) will face a familiar foe, Sunshine State Conference Sixth Seed Lynn University (15-4), in the South Region II matchup on Monday, April 9, 2022 in Daytona, Fla. The time has yet to be determined.

The Lions and Fighting Knights last faced each other during the Sunshine State Conference Semifinals on Saturday, April 23. The fourth seed Lions upset the first seed Fighting Knights 4-0 in Bradenton, Fla. At the IMG Academy. The Green and Gold swept the doubles point and went the distance with
Bruno Faletto's first singles win,
Vincent Thiel's second singles three-set victory, and
Brad Eidenmuller's sixth singles clinch.
During the regular season, No. 3 Saint Leo also edged No. 12 Lynn on April 3.
Brad Eidenmuller overcame two-day sixth singles match up to lift the No. 3 Lions 4-3 over the Fighting Knights. The Sunshine State Conference foes found themselves tied at 3-3 before a thunderstorm rolled up and delayed the Saturday morning match. Eidenmuller and Gabrielle Felline battle in sixth singles was tied up after two sets and needed a full third set to decide the game. The teams waited until late into Saturday evening to make the call to finish the game Sunday morning. Eidenmuller opened up the set up 5-0 and got it done with a final score of 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
