SAINT LEO, Fla. - Saint Leo Softball's
Emily Pilon was awarded the Sunshine State Conference Softball Player of the Week Award for the week of March 28.Â
Pilon had a huge weekend at Nova Southeastern in the series with the Sharks. She hit .368 against the Sharks, going 5-for-11 at the plate. She totaled six RBI's and had a game-tying RBI in the fourth inning of Friday night's game that went ten innings. Pilon made the score 6-1 in favor of Saint Leo in the tenth with another RBI single that extended the lead.Â
Pilon now leads the team in batting average hitting .369, home runs with six, RBI's with 31, and hits with 31.Â
The Lions will return home to University Softball Stadium on Friday, April 8 against Florida Tech for a three-game series with the Panthers.Â
