SAINT LEO, Fla. - Saint Leo Baseball rallied late to take game one of a doubleheader on Saturday against Embry-Riddle, 5-3.Â
The Eagles from Daytona Beach jumped on the Lions early in the third inning with one out. Back-to-back hits, first a RBI single and then a two-run home run, put Embry-Riddle out front, 3-0, after three innings.Â
Saint Leo got back in the game, however, with a three-run fifth inning of their own.
Mike Wyman got it started with a RBI single that scored
Adrien Roa from second. Then with one out,
Buck Anderson brought home two runs on a single to center, tying the ballgame at 3-3.Â
The Lions eventually took the lead in the seventh inning.

Yazael Nunez,
Mike Wyman tripled him home with a base hit to right, giving the Lions a 4-3 lead. Wyman then came home to score on a wild pitch, making it 5-3 Saint Leo.Â
Jestin Jones came on for the second game in a row and closed it out in the ninth to earn his eighth save of the season. Saint Leo moves to 29-14 on the season and 14-9 in the Sunshine State Conference before wrapping up their series with Embry-Riddle in game two of the doubleheader on Saturday.Â
