SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team, who improved in its' ranking from eighth to fifth in the nation in Thursday's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll, earned its' 12
th win off a 7-0 win over Quincy. Following a series of time changes due to weather conditions, the Lions hosted the Hawks inside the Saint Leo Tennis Center Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. The early mid-week victory extended the Green and Gold's stainless season to 12-0 overall.
Multiple new faces for the Lions tallied wins for the dominate showing.
Jade Bellegy secured a 7-5 second set battle in fifth singles to keep the Green and Gold perfect on the day.
No. 5 Saint Leo will return to Sunshine State Conference competition on Saturday, March 19 on the road at No. 3 Nova Southeastern. The National Top-5 conference matchup is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
