SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 8 Saint Leo women's tennis team's perfect season hit double digits Saturday afternoon inside the Saint Leo Tennis Center. The Lions blanked the visiting No. 27 Dallas Baptist Patriots in a 7-0 decision to extend their record to 10-0.
Saint Leo grabbed the doubles point with wins from the second and third flights.
Marta Vicens Miquel, who won her second doubles match, went on to take the first singles for a 2-0 day. Ranked 38
th in the nation in singles action, Vicen Miquel topped her Patriot opponent 6-1, 6-0. Meanwhile, No. 31
Nina Furmaniak cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 second flight victory.
Saint Leo will hit the road for the first time since February 9 when the Green and Gold traveled to Embry-Riddle. On Wednesday, March 16 the Lions will meet Northern Iowa and Quincy in a pair of neutral site games held at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla.
