SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team, ranked eighth nationally, remains undefeated after defeating Valdosta State 5-2. The Lions are now 5-0 overall after the confident non-conference tilt on Tuesday inside the Saint Leo Tennis Center.

Saint Leo swept doubles action and took first, second, third, and fifth singles for the team's five-match points.

Marta Vicens Miquel squeaked out a three-set win; 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 in first singles. Meanwhile,
Nina Furmaniak (6-2, 6-2),
Celina Ermann (6-2- 7-5) finished the second and third matches in two.

Lavinia Lancellotti also got her match taken care of quickly with a 6-2, 6-2 fifth singles win.

The Lions will look to make it six straight in their next match scheduled for Friday, March 4. Saint Leo is set to host Auburn Montgomery starting at 3:00 p.m.
