Feb 03, 2022

Live Coverage |
  • RECORDS: Saint Leo 8-11, 5-9 SCC / Trinity College
  • The Lions are coming off an 81-68 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic university in a conference game. They are looking to bounce back in a doubleheader against Trinity University. The team shot over 50% from the field in the second half to try and break the deficit against PBA. Frank Webb Jr. had 14 points and shot 7-12 from the field. Cantia Rahming, the freshman had a great night on the floor recording 10 points to go along with 7 assists. Saint Leo looks to find success as the Tigers are coming to town.
  • The Lions have found a lot of success off turnovers as the all SSC Senior Frank Webb Jr leads all players in that department. The Lions look to get back in the win column after recording 44 points in the paint as they shot the ball very well inside.
  • Wade Coomer looks to continue his lethal scoring tear as he is 2nd in the SSC in three-point percentage and is shooting 47% behind the line.
  • It has been a while since the last time these two teams met so it will be a good test after a day off. The Lions own the series 4-0 in the past 4 meetings, averaging 100 points per game. Last time they met was in 2011 where the Lions lit up the scoreboard scoring 118 points. Breaking the record that took over 20 years to reach. The lions shot 67% from the 3pt line and absolutely lit the scoreboard up.
  • The Lions look to build some momentum heading into the weekend as the battle of Cats will take place on home grounds.
