BOCA RATON, Fla. - Saint Leo Baseball overcame a 2-0 deficit on Sunday morning to rally and take the final game of the series at Lynn, 3-2. 

Down 2-0 in the seventh inning, Mike Wyman got the rally started with a leadoff walk. Then with one out, it was perfect timing for Eddie Nieman to hit his first home run of the season to tie the ballgame at 2-2 with a two-run home run to left. It was Nieman's first home run of the season and his eighth and ninth RBI's. 

Then in the top of the eighth inning, the Sunshine State Conference leader in home runs, Bobby Sparling, delivered his seventh dinger of the season to straight away center field to put the Lions on top of the Knights, 3-2. It was his 22nd RBI of the season as well. 

It was Jestin Jones who would close out the Knights in the bottom of the ninth to secure the win for Saint Leo. Jones came on in the bottom of the third inning after Lynn took a 2-0 lead and shut down the Knights for the remainder of the ballgame. Jones threw 6.1 innings giving up just two hits and one walk while striking out seven. Throwing 72 pitches on the afternoon, Jones delivered 51 of them for strikes. Jones earned his second win of the season. 

Saint Leo advanced to 8-7 on the year and increased their record to 2-4 in the SSC. The Lions will now return home to Thomas B. Southard Stadium this coming Thursday, March 3, to begin a four game series with the Panthers from Kentucky Wesleyan.
