SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team, ranked ninth nationally, reeled in its third straight victory, second win in the Sunshine State Conference Saturday afternoon. The Lions defeated the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish, 6-1, to remain undefeated with a 3-0 overall record, 2-0 in the conference.
 
Doubles swept the competition going 6-1, 6-0, and 7-6 in their respective first, second, and third flights.
 
Marta Vicens Miquel added to her perfect second doubles score by going 6-0, 6-1 in first singles. Celina Ermann, Alina Fedulova, and Lavinia Lancellottii each registered 6-1, 6-1 victories in their single matches. Maria Valverde Soler recorded the team's sixth point taking six singles, 6-1, 6-0.
 
Saint Leo will continue their season on Tuesday, Feb 15 hosting the Tampa Spartans at 3:00 p.m. in the Saint Leo Tennis Center.
