Box Score SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team, ranked ninth nationally, extended its' perfect 2022 season to 4-0, 3-0 in the Sunshine State Conference after defeating Tampa 6-1 on Tuesday. The SSC match-up inside the Saint Leo Tennis Center saw 
Nina Furmaniak earn a second singles win against a nationally ranked opponent. Meanwhile, 
Marta Vicens Miquel, ranked 39
th in singles nationally, continued to dominate her competition.
 
Saint Leo earned the doubles point with victories from the first and second flights. 
Nina Furmaniak and 
Alina Fedulova recorded a 6-2 first doubles win. They were followed by a 6-4 second doubles win by Vicens Miquel and 
Lavinia Lancellotti.
 
No. 39 Vicens Miquel got things rolling in singles with a 6-4, 6-1 first singles win. 
Nina Furmaniak defeated No. 41 Maeva Roquebert 6-3, 6-3 in the second flight. The Lions posted three more wins in third, fifth, and sixth singles to protect home court.
 
Up next, the Saint Leo women's tennis team will return to non-conference action over the next seven matches, the opening six consecutive matches inside the Saint Leo Tennis Center. The stretch at home is set to begin on Tuesday, Mar 1 at 3:00 p.m. hosting Valdosta State.
