SAINT LEO, Fla. – The men and women's tennis programs are set to be the first athletic events of the Spring semester at Saint Leo. On Wednesday, Feb 2 the Lions host the Ave Maria Gyrenes at 3:00 p.m. inside the Saint Leo Tennis Center. Head Coach Chad Berryhill enters his sixth-year at the helm of both programs. Berryhill has made the Lions a national powerhouse earning four NCAA appearances (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021) for the both the men's and the women's teams. Alongside Berryhill is men's assistant coach, Matthew Alexander and women's assistant coach, Nataliia Vlasova.

National Team Rankings: Lions Among Top Teams in the Country
The Saint Leo men's tennis program was named third by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll. Last year, the Green and Gold recorded a 9-3 overall record, 6-1 in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC), dropping its only conference match to the 2021 NCAA Division II Champions, Barry.

National Team Rankings: Lions Among Top Teams in the Country
The Saint Leo enters the season ranked ninth in the country according to the ITA's Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll. In 2020-21, the Lions put together an 8-4 overall record, and went 7-2 in the SSC.
