SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's basketball team returns home to the Marion Bowman Center to host conference opponent Palm Beach Atlantic, Saturday afternoon. The Lions are looking to stay undefeated and improve to 2-0 in the Sunshine State Conference this season. Tipoff is set for 3:30 PM.
Last Game
The Green & Gold opened Sunshine State Conference play with a win against Embry-Riddle University on Wednesday.
Kiki McIntyre saw the court for a full 40 minutes for the Lions and was able to control the tempo for the Green & Gold as she finished with a team-high five assists.
Amanda Ulrich played a huge role once again for Saint Leo as the senior finished with a team-high 23 points.
Tamara Shash came off the bench and played a huge role on both sides of the court for the Lions as the bench contributed 13 points.
Player to Watch
Ulrich heads into Saturday's game as the lead scorer for the Lions and has played a huge role in the Lions offense so far this season. The senior from Secaucus, New Jersey currently leads Saint Leo with 121 points. Ulrich is coming off another dominant performance where she was 8-for-13 from the field and 4-for-7 from three-point range against Embry-Riddle. She will look to pace the Lions offense against the Sailfish and stay perfect in conference play.
Scouting Palm Beach Atlantic
Palm Beach Atlantic is led by fifth year head coach Manisha Redus. The Sailfish currently sit at 3-2 and 1-1 in the SSC. Sophomore guard Jahnae Midget leads the sailfish through their first five games with 52 points, averaging a team-high 28.8 points-per-game.
