Women's Basketball Faces Embry-Riddle On The Road

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's basketball team heads to Daytona Beach to open up conference play against Embry-Riddle University on Wednesday, November 30. The Lions are off to their best start of the season since they won 10-straight games during the 2013-14 season. Tipoff is set for 5:30 PM.

Last Game
The Green & Gold improved to an impressive 5-0 on the season defeating #9 Bentley University. The Lions have now defeated two nationally ranked teams to start the 2022-23 season and are off to one of their hottest starts in years. Like earlier games this season, the Lions were able to jump out to an early lead and command the rest of the game. Amanda Ulrich was massive for the Lions' offense leading the team with a team high 33 points, while Alex Button finished second on the team in points scored with 23.

Player to Watch
Ulrich has played a huge role in the Lions offense so far this season. The Senior from Secaucus, New Jersey currently leads Saint Leo with 98 points. Against #9 Bentley, Ulrich recorded several season-highs. She finished was a season-high 33 points on 12 shots made from the field. She also recorded season-highs in rebounds (5), free-throws made (6), and minutes (38).

Scouting Embry-Riddle
Embry-Riddle is led by eighth year head coach Lisa Wilson. The Eagles are 4-1 through their first five games. Sophomore guard Madyson Jean-Louis leads the Eagles through their first five games with 60 points, and 20 steals. Embry-Riddle is averaging 58.2 points per game while holding their opponents to 55.6 points per game.
