SAINT LEO, Fla. – For the first time since 2016, the Saint Leo University Women's soccer team will be one of the six remaining teams that will compete for a Sunshine State Conference tournament title.
The Lions (8-5-2, 4-5-1 SSC) have made a late season surge, picking up two critical wins that fueled a push for the SSC's No. 6 seed, as a draw from Tampa's regular-season finale officially put the Green & Gold into the bracket.
Senior
Alex Collighan leads Saint Leo with seven goals and two assists on the season (16 points), the sixth-most point total in the SSC.
The Lions head into Monday night's contest against third-seeded #11 Embry-Riddle (10-0-5, 5-0-5 SSC) averaging two goals a game in the last three matches. Earlier this season, Saint Leo held the Eagles scoreless for nearly 85 minutes before ERAU delivered the equalizer to keep its unbeaten season alive with a 1-1 draw.
Kickoff at ERAU Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m. Fans can follow the action live by accessing the links below:
