WINTER PARK, Fla. – The (RV) Saint Leo University Women's swimming team was bested by Rollins College 136-124 Saturday afternoon in the team's season opener at Alfond Swimming Pool.
Despite the setback, the Lions (0-1, 0-1 SSC) won 11 of the 14 events. Junior Vanda Vöröshazy won the 200-yard Butterfly with a time of 2:11.52, as well as the 200-yard Individual Medley (2:12.37). Junior
Anett Daka also won a pair of events, taking home the 100-yard (0:59.63) and 200-yard (2:09.29) Backstroke titles. Daka's 100 Back time was a few seconds shy of making the provisional cut.
Sophomore
Elze Bielskute mastered the 100-yard and 200-yard Breaststroke events with respective times of 1:06.59 and 2:26.63.
The Lions won both Relay events, as the A Team (Daka, Bielskute, Junior
Isabelle Sering, and Freshman
Ethena Conzemius) finished the 400-yard Medley with a time of 3:58.35 before the 200-yard Freestyle team of Daka, Bielskute, Sering, and Freshman Alix Marouf-Henras posted a 1:39.68 time.

The Lions now prepare for its home opener against #16 Lynn November 4th; the meet is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
