Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's basketball team returned to the win column Saturday afternoon generating a second-half comeback to upend Lynn, 62-48. The Sunshine State Conference victory propelled the Green and Gold's overall record to 10-5, 5-2 in the conference while the Fighting Knight's season mark dropped to 4-7 on the year, 2-5 in the SSC.

Anthony Crocitto expressed, "That was a phenomenal second-half by the Lions tonight.
Ayanna Trigg was a workhorse on both ends tonight. She's playing with so much more disciple and confidence in 2022.
Alex Button and
Amanda Ulrich made the necessary adjustments to help us extend the lead.
Kiki McIntyre was exciting to watch. She dominated a point guard and set the tone for the speed of the game. McIntyre is playing like a top point guard in the nation. I'm very proud."
Saint Leo and Lynn battled back-and-forth recording six lead changes while finding themselves tied six other times. Down by three at 41-38 in the third quarter, the Lions pulled away registering a 14-0 run. The third quarter offensive burst carried into the fourth quarter, 52-41 with 8:17 remaining. The Green and Gold protected their lead from there, all the way to victory.
Amanda Ulrich and
Kiki McIntyre each scored a game-high 18 points. Ulrich went 7-for-13 from the floor, 2-for-5 from the three-point range, and 2-for-2 at the free-throw line. McInytre went 9-for-16 on the day and helped the Lions' efforts off the boards with seven rebounds.
Ayanna Trigg joined her teammates in scoring double figures with 16 points going 6-for-9 and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. Trigg also pulled down a game-high eight rebounds while
Alex Button tallied six off the iron.
"We are tired," said Crocitto. "We are drained but we are ready for a nice day off while we prepare work for Monday's practice."
Up next, Saint Leo will travel to Florida Southern on Wednesday, Jan. 15 for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off against the Moccasins.
