SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's basketball team ended up on the wrong side of an overtime decision against the Rollins Tars Saturday afternoon inside the Marion Bowman Activities Center. The 90-83 Sunshine State Conference final moved the Lions' overall record to 6-9, 3-6 in the SSC. Meanwhile, Rollins snapped a three-game losing skid improving to 8-9 on the season, 3-6 in the conference.

Wade Coomer continued to be a threat from downtown recording his second consecutive 27-point game. The senior guard went 9-for-19 from the field, 8-for-17 from the three-point range, and 1-for-2 at the free throw line. Two other Lions joined
Wade Coomer in scoring double figures.
Francis Sio recorded 15 points while
Frank Webb Jr. put up 13. Webb Jr. helped the efforts with nine rebounds while
Cantia Rahming earned a team-high 10 rebounds. Rahming pulled down six offensive rebounds and four defensive ones.

Saint Leo started out ahead, reaching its' largest lead of 16 points at 22-6 at the 12
th minute of the first half. Rollins chipped away at the comfortable lead by the halftime break. Saint Leo entered the second half ahead by five at 35-30.

In the 14
th minute of the second half, Rollins leveled the game at 43 points apiece. Down to the wire, with six seconds left in regulation, the Tars forced overtime on the free throw line. The Tars would hold the lead the entire overtime period. Rollins edged out Saint Leo with 26 points off turnovers.

Saint Leo will regroup and look ahead to Wednesday, Jan. 19 when the Lions will travel to Nova Southeastern for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off against the Sharks.
