SAINT LEO, Fla. - Representing the Green and Gold as hosts of the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championship,
Shane Bracken cracked the top-20 of the individual standings to earn All-American honors at the Abbey Golf course.
Shane Bracken is the first Saint Leo runner to crack the top-20 and holds the highest finish in program history at the National Championship with his 16th place finish in a time of 30:49.8. Bracken, U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches (USTFCCCA) South Region Runner of the Year become just the second All-American with his honor Saturday morning joining Rafal Matuszczak's honor in 2016.
Bracken was joined by
Arthur Cosson at the national championship where Cosson finished in 233 with a time of 35:44.4.
Grand Valley State went 1-2 in the individual standings while also claiming the national title with 43 points. Isaac Harding won the individual national title with a time of 29:58.3 while teammate Tanner Chada took second in a time of 30:07.1.
