SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's soccer team fell 1-0 against Florida Southern in the season finale Tuesday night at the Saint Leo Soccer Field.
The Lions (3-11-3, 1-7-2 SSC) put together 10 shots, two on frame by
Miguel Fernandez and
Karl Nyman. Fernandez was unable to convert a penalty kick in the 27
th minute as goalkeeper, Mars Gohier, dove to his left and upset the electric crowd.
The Moccasins (6-7-3, 5-4-1 SSC) tallied the game-winner off a set piece in the 49
th minute. Christoph Gums served up a long pass met by Jake Starling on the far-right post.

Karl Nyman,
Noah Nixon recorded their final appearances in the Green and Gold as outstanding members of the program. Zarri earned two more stops during the 90 minutes of action, bringing his season total to 35 saves.
