BOCO RATON, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's soccer team ended up on the wrong side of a 6-0 decision at Lynn Wednesday night. The Sunshine State Conference match moved the Lions record to 2-11-2, 1-7-1 SSC while the Fighting Knights improved to 5-6-1, 4-5 SSC.
The Fighting Knights took an early lead in the first four minutes of action. Lynn widened the gap with three more before the halftime break. Anniina Sankoh registered two in the second half, finishing with four goals against the Green and Gold.
Saint Leo generated 11 shots paced by
Evelina Rosendahl with three followed by
Nina Mueller and
Arielle Jacus with two apiece. In goal,
Maitane Bravo put up five saves in 90 minutes of work.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, Saint Leo will travel to Florida Southern to close out the season. Kickoff between the Lions and Moccasins is set for 7:00 p.m.
