SAINT LEO, Fla. –
Alexa Guido punched in her first collegiate goal tapping the ball into the Tampa Spartans' bottom right corner of the net. Despite striking first, the Sunshine State Conference rivals came back to upend Saint Leo 2-1 at the Saint Leo Soccer Field Wednesday night. The close match moved the Green and Gold's record to 2-9-2, 1-5-1 SSC while Tampa improved to 6-5-1, 5-3 in the league.

Bella Arato to tally the first goal of the night in the 18
th minute. Saint Leo continued to battle to maintain the lead as Tampa recorded 17 shots over the Green and Gold's eight.
Tampa managed to squeeze through the Lions' backline and register the equalizer in the 67
th minute. Two minutes later, the Spartans netted the go-ahead goal, capitalizing on soft touches inside the box following a corner kick.
Maitane Bravo collected eight saves in another 90 minutes of work in the net.
Saint Leo will close out its' home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7:00 p.m. hosting the Nova Southeastern Sharks. Before kickoff, the program will honor the graduating senior class.
