MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference office announced the 2019-2020 Men's Basketball All-Conference teams where Saint Leo senior guard
Kyran McClure garnered second team honors for the second straight season.
Â
McClure, a Computer Science: Information Assurance major, helped lead the Green and Gold to a 16-13 record and a 10-10 mark in league play while advancing to the SSC tournament quarterfinals as a sixth seed. McClure led the team in scoring with 603 total points on the year (20.8), free throws made (207), three-point field goals made (96), and minutes played (933).
Â
The Concord, N.C. native adds 2019-2020 second team honors to his second team honors in 2018-19. Earlier this season McClure etched his name further into the program record books by becoming the 24
th player in the 1,000-point club with a 24-point win performance against Tampa on December 14.
Â
The three-year star for the Lions capped his career with 1,374 points, 276 assists, 195 rebounds, and 92 steals. In his senior campaign, the left-handed guard made 150 field goals, 96 three-pointers, 207 free throws, grabbing 53 rebounds while dishing out 90 dimes with 34 steals.
Â
McClure's 603 points on the season ranks fourth single-season records while he now holds the programs record for three's in a season with his 96 in his senior season and free throws made at 207. His three's surpass Marcus Dewberry's 2015-16 record of 88 while his free throws pass Tyrone Graves's 1991-92 record of 165, where McClure now holds the most and third most free throws in a single season.
Â
His season-high was a 39-point performance in the Green and Gold's loss to then-no. 7 Valdosta State.
