SAINT LEO, Fla. – After just a two-goal separation at half, No. 23 Saint Leo women's lacrosse dropped its season opener, which doubled as its home opener, to the visiting No. 8 Rollins Tars 19-10 at University Turf Stadium.

Ashlee Wilsynski and
Sam Nolan each notched a hattrick in the loss, leading the team in points in the season debut with three points apiece.
Janee DeLuca,
Kaci Archer,
Meghan Bomleny, and
Delaney Chrisco all found the back of the net Saturday afternoon.

In goal,
Erin Davis suffered the loss after 37 minutes in goal with 10 saves while
Emma Crafton entered for 23 minutes between the pipes with five saves.

The Tars jumped on the Green and Gold 4-0 before
Sam Nolan found the back of the net to score the first goal of the season for the Lions. Rollins would make it 5-1 before three straight Lions' goals by
Delaney Chrisco,
Kaci Archer, and
Ashlee Wilsynski made it a 5-4 game. The Tars closed the first half outscoring the Lions 3-2 for a 8-6 lead.

Rollins broke the game open in the second half outscoring Saint Leo 11-4 for a 19-10 victory at University Turf Stadium. Â
