Box Score HUNTSVILLE, ALA. – The Saint Leo men's lacrosse team and 15
th year head coach
Brad Jorgensen earned its first win of the decade on Saturday at Alabama-Huntsville. The Lions snagged a 10-8 decision in Charger Park paced by
Philip Buque and
Tyler Eames with four points apiece. On the other end of the field,
Ian Areford tallied his first win between the pipes.

Eames found the back of the net four times to register four points while Buque slung in a pair of goals and assists.
Peyton Tyson also whipped up a pair of goals and an assist in order to contribute three points.

Jordan Williams had a big day on the 'X' winning 15-of-20 faceoffs while earning a team-high nine ground balls.
Ethan Ticehurst helped with the possession battle, picking up four ground balls and causing a turnover.

Areford protected the net for all 60 minutes. The senior goalie faced 38 shots, 17 of which were on goal, for nine stops on the day.

Saint Leo battled back-and-forth the whole day. The Chargers level the scoreboard at eight goals apiece with 12:46 left in the fourth quarter. Williams won the faceoff but a turnover would give the ball back to the hosts. A wide shot and gave the Lions another chance to pull ahead.
Thomas Pritchard netted the go-ahead goal at 10:31, 9-8. Saint Leo struck one more time to ensure the regional win.
