SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo softball and head coach
Erin Kinberger announce the 2020 schedule that features 10 home series as well as the Saint Leo Tournament on Feb. 15-16 at University Softball Stadium.

The Lions open up the season at the Gulf Coast Invitational on Jan. 31 against Lee (Tenn.) and Lubbock Christian (Texas) in Gulf Shores, Ala. Saint Leo follows the Friday pair of games with two Saturday and two Sunday.

Following the tournament in Alabama, the Green and Gold return to the Sunshine State and travel to Melbourne for the Florida Tech Invitational where the Lions will play six games.

Saint Leo will host the University of Virginia's College at Wise and Flagler for a small tournament at home with four games guaranteed, each team playing each other twice.

Following the non-conference tournaments to open the year, the Lions will kick off Sunshine State Conference play with a series at Tampa, Feb. 21-22, before hosting Palm Beach Atlantic, Feb. 28-29.

Stepping out of conference play for two doubleheaders against Tiffin on March 3 and Wilmington (Del.) on March 4, the Green and Gold then get back into league play at Rollins on March 6-7.

Two more non-conference doubleheaders split up SSC play with Minnesota Duluth on March 10 and Bloomsburg on March 11. The Lions squeeze two more SSC series in the mix against Florida Tech on March 13-14 before traveling to Daytona Beach, Fla. on March 20-21 to tango with Embry-Riddle.

The Lions' final non-conference action is set for March 25 against Mercy College, ending the year with SSC series against Nova Southeastern (home, March 27-28), Eckerd (away, April 3-4), Lynn (home, April 9-10), Florida Southern (home, April 17-18), and close the regular season with a road trip to Miami Shores for a meeting with Barry April 25-26.
