GULF SHORES, Ala. - Due to the rain and condition of the fields at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex, the season opener for the No. 25 Saint Leo softball team will be scheduled for Saturday morning as all games Friday were cancelled for the opening day of 2020 at the Gulf Shores Invitational.  

The Lions are set to play Mississippi College Saturday at 9 a.m. CT / 10 a.m. ET on field 3 at the Sportsplex. Saint Leo will take on Spring Hill College at 11:30 a.m. CT / 12:30 p.m. ET on field four at the complex in Gulf Shores. 

Saint Leo was set to face Lee Friday afternoon followed by a matchup with the Chaps of Lubbock Christian. The Green and Gold will close out the trip to Alabama with games Sunday against no. 4 West Florida (9 a.m. CT / 10 a.m. ET) and Miles (11:30 a.m. CT / 12:30 p.m. ET).
