NORMAN, Okla. – Saint Leo men's golf found themselves ranked No. 12 in the Division II Bushnell Golfweek Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Friday, Aug. 23.
 
Saint Leo was one of six Sunshine State Conference schools inside the top-15 of the preseason poll and one of seven inside the top-25. The Lions fell in behind preseason favorite, Lynn (no. 1), Barry (no. 2), Florida Southern (no. 4), Nova Southeastern (no. 6), and Florida Tech (no. 8). Rollins was the other SSC team to reach the top-25 and fell in at no. 20.
 
The Lions open the 2019-20 season on Sept. 23-24 when the Green and Gold travels to Columbus, Ga. to take part in the Cougar Invitational. Saint Leo returns nine golfers from the 2018-19 roster while adding four new players to the roster in Tom Bellomo, Jake Nash, Kevin Johnson and Miguel Herrero.
