Randall Adds Hamm to Men's Basketball Coaching Staff

Aug 02, 2019

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo men's basketball head coach, Lance Randall announced that Ryan Hamm will return to the sidelines for the Green and Gold this season.

Hamm previously served as assistant at Saint Leo on Randall's staff in 2014-15. In that season, Hamm helped guide the Lions to 14 wins and played a key role in the team leading the NCAA DII in free throw percentage.

"Ryan is a great coach and an even better person," Head Coach Lance Randall stated. "He has been outstanding with player development, game preparation as well as team and campus daily positive communication. He is a hard working, detail oriented young coach with a very bright future. Coach Hamm is a young man of tremendous character and will model the six core values here at Saint Leo for our student-athletes everyday in his life."

Prior to his return to Saint Leo, Hamm spent the past four seasons on Randall's staff at Lindenwood where he helped the Lions win 69 games, including a 21 win season in 2016-17 which marked the programs wins record in NCAA history.

After the 2016-17 season, Hamm was named a 2017 30-under-30 honoree by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

A native of Maysville, Ky., Hamm earned a bachelor of education degree in 2013 from Thomas More (Ky.). While on the Saints' roster, Hamm was a member of the conference's honor roll all four years that he was in college. Hamm played for Mason County High School where he was a member of the 2008 state championship squad, and helped the 2006 and 2009 teams win a regional championship.
