LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Thursday afternoon the All-Region teams where Saint Leo junior
Kacie Kelly earned All-South Region Second Team honors for the second straight season.

Kelly picks up the NFCA honors for the third time in her career being named First Team All-South Region in 2017, her freshman season, and Second Team All-South Region in 2018. After being named to the first team in 2017, Kelly was named an NFCA Third Team All-American. The junior middle infielder was one of 12 Sunshine State Conference student-athletes selected to the First and Second NFCA All-South Region teams.

A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Kelly helped guide the Lions back to the NCAA postseason for the third straight season, the teams' fourth straight trip to regionals. For 2019, Kelly has earned All-Sunshine State Conference First Team honors, her third first team honors in her career, as well as D2 CCA All-South Region Second Team honors, also her third All-South Region honors.

Saint Leo dropped its first game of the postseason to Alabama-Huntsville 6-2 Thursday afternoon and will face Mississippi College at 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
