SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo acrobatics and tumbling has announced a one-day A&T Prospect Camp for August 4, 2019 inside the Marion Bowman Activities Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The registration fee is $65 per participant, with an age limit of 13-19. The clinic will be tailored to female athletes who are interested in learning the skill sets of Acrobatics & Tumbling. The day will focus on improving acrobatic, pyramid, toss, and tumbling skills with hands on instruction from coaches and student-athletes to learn proper progressions, saftey, and technique. Campers will also learn more about the recruitment process and receive a campus tour of the University. All campers will receive a t-shirt and are advised to bring a lunch, snacks, and water.
Timeline:
10:00 am - check-in
10:15 am - Warm-up
10:30 am - Tumbling
12:00 pm - lunch / campus tour
1:30 pm - Acrobatic, pyramid, and toss progressions
3:00 pm - pick-up

About Acrobatics & Tumbling
Acrobatics & Tumbling, a discipline of USA Gymnastics, is the evolution of different forms of gymnastics and involves tumbling, tosses, and acrobatic lifts and pyramids. Teams participate in head-to-head competition and are scored in six events, including Compulsory, Acro, Pyramid, Toss, Tumbling, and Team.
About the NCATA
The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA), which serves as the national governing body, is working with the NCAA staff and the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics to have A&T sanctioned as an emerging sport. Currently, all events are sanctioned through USA Gymnastics.
