TAMPA, Fla. – Junior
Shawn Bell and freshman
Paige Patterson led the Saint Leo men's and women's track teams, respectively, as they swept the 3,000m steeplechase at the USF Bulls Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Lions tallied nine total top-10 finishes on the day.

Patterson bested the field with a time of 11:32.40 while Bell was the lone competitor on the men's side to finish under 10 minutes at 9:56.32.

Sophomore
Shane Bracken nearly made his way to the top of the podium in the men's 1,500m as he finished second at 3:55.51. Junior
Blake Watson also picked up a top-10 finish in the 1,500m as he crossed the line in eighth at 4:05.11.

Freshman
Aoife Mahony earned a fifth place showing in the women's 800m as she stopped the clock at 2:18.45.

The women's 4x100m relay team combined to complete the lap in 55.94 to take sixth in the event. The 4x400m team also picked up a top-10 finish as they claimed ninth in 4:25.74.

Junior
Ashley Lindeman was the last top-10 individual finisher as she took ninth in the women's 1,500m with a time of 4:53.83.

The men picked up a 10
th place finish in the 4x100m relay after successfully delivering the baton around the track in 48.70.

The Lions will be back in action next weekend as they travel north to Gainesville, Fla. to compete in the Florida Pepsi Relays.
